Since March 19, everyone who took to the streets has brought their own objections with them. From students to women, from workers to pensioners, from those who don’t want animals to be killed to those who defend nature, everyone who said “we don’t want to live like this” reflected their will on the streets.
All the attacks of the Palace Regime for years; whether you include the minimum wage figures, rents, bills, the release of the murderers of women, the theft of the future of students, the anger accumulated against all these attacks has taken to the streets.
The Palace’s prohibitions were trampled underfoot and fear was overcome. We saw that these bans can be overcome, that action and resistance liberates. Despite thousands of detentions, tear gas and batons, fear can be overcome through action.
Now we need something stronger to win what we took to the streets for, and that is organized resistance.
These 6 days have shown us that the will of the people is not only the ballot box. It is even the least ballot box.
These 6 days have shown us that more is possible, for example, IBB’s previous corruption files could have been made public, all the thefts made with municipal resources could have been shared with those who took part in the resistance. And just as those of us in this square were asked to boycott EspressoLab, it could have been said that from now on we will “boycott tenders” for companies like 4.5G that feed the Palace’s coffers. These can still be done.
When we show our will on the streets, side by side, through struggle, we can disrupt the Palace’s plans. Yes, thanks to this resistance on the streets, no trustee was appointed to IBB. However, 3 more elected mayors were arrested.
Let us, who are part of this resistance, come side by side with our demands in our neighborhoods, schools and workplaces. Let’s unite the resistances. Because the demands of the resistances that come side by side will be revealed more strongly, the power of organized action is the winning one.
We can create the “General Strike General Resistance,” where all those who resist for a humane and dignified life put their hands under the stone, with the United Labor Front.
If we organize our anger, our will, we can take back what was stolen from us. We mean everything!
If we are organized, we can not only disrupt plans but also make plans, we can live humanely and with dignity!
