We received a message from ‘Cooperation Council of the Iranian Left and Communist Forces’ about Mahabad and ressistance. Here is the entire statement:
“Let us strengthen the bastion of the revolution for freedom and equality by supporting people’s revolutionary uprising in the cities of Kurdistan!
The repressive apparatus of the desperate regime of the Islamic Republic in Iran has surrounded the city of Mahabad with live bullets and shooting at the unarmed militant people. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) have been sent from different cities to Mahabad to crush the resistance and brave struggle of the people’s masses that has continued in different cities of Kurdistan and to create a bloodbath in this city.
In the past two months, Kurdistan has become one of the bastions for the advance of the revolution to overthrow the Islamic Republic. Strengthen the bastion of the revolution for freedom and equality by supporting the revolutionary uprising of the people in the cities of Kurdistan.
We ask the militant people in Iran, the activists of the protests as well as committees and circles of local fighters who have advanced the revolutionary movement in different cities until now and who have been one of the main pillars of advancing the revolutionary movement throughout the cities of Iran, all the striking workers and teachers, the students, the activists of women’s movement, and all the honorable and freedom-loving people throughout Iran and the world to defend the people of Mahabad and Kurdistan and not allow the infernal repression apparatus of the Islamic Republic to achieve its goals.
With our solidarity and united fight, we can strengthen the revolutionary movement and help its advancement as much as possible and bring down the regime of repression, terror, torture.
Down with the capitalist Islamic Republic in Iran! Long live freedom; Long live socialism!”
